Starting trouble
1976 Ford Elite, won't start. Turns over great, sounds like it's starting, but as soon as you let go of the switch, it dies. I've tried everything, Heet in the gas, starter fluid, nothing helps. The only thing I haven't tried is replacing the fuel filter. I could use some advice.

If it doesn't start with starting fluid, it sounds ignition related. Have you checked to make sure that it is getting a good, hot blue snapping spark to the plugs?
