I have an old Dodge pickup (probably a '75) with a 318 Chrysler industrial engine from a combine in it. The water pump went out and I don't know the year of the engine to get a replacement. The engine tag does not have the engine number on it. The only things I can find are the serial number F057301, model LH318, and type 488. Is there any way to tell how old the engine is with this info?

What year was the combine? Probably the same year. Take old pump and try to match at auto parts it may be the same as on the truck. It can probably be rebuilt form a rebuilder anyhow.
