I have checked fuel pressure, replaced injectors, checked for bad wire grounds, replaced water temp sending unit at front of engine. Car still won't run out in gear. Runs out @ 6000+ Rpm in park or neutral. Is this possibly related to exhaust gas pressure?

I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean it runs out at 6K RPM's in park or neutral? As far as the exhaust, is there a catalytic converter on it?

The engine will run up in rpm in park or neutral, but when in gear and you try to accel it falls on its face, chokes, sometimes backfires. It has a cat. Thanx, Ken

You could check back pressure to see if the converter is plugging. Also, often times, they will get red hot if they are plugged. Other than that, you should check ignition timing as well as the ignition advance.
