I have a mercedes 280,4/74. carby motor.engine no 1100110401 twin cam,6 cylinder.vin no-11406022105698.I want to put in same motor but injected. will inlet manifolds change over, want to put carby manifold onto injected motor are mounting points & port holes the same? any information would be great, thanks matt.
There is a lot to do here, different loom, and the ECU, different fuel pump fuel lines, air filter and it is a different head as well.
On the injection head there are holes for the injectors, not in the manifold.should be able too block off & just run carbi manifold.wont have to change loom, ecu etc..
You can turn the EFI into a carby no problems, just have to fit the mechanical fuel pump as the electric injection pump runs at a pressure to high for the carbies to handle, swapping carby to EFI is the problem.
