We have a 1969 dodge D200, truck me and my father are fixing up. When we push the drivers side door unlock button it just pushes in. The inside latch works just fine. I removed the door pannel to see if u could figure it out. All that seams to happen is the rod thats attached to the door button attaches to nothing else. There is a metal plate which releases the door locking mechanism, which i assume the rod is suspose to move or attach to but i am unsure. I attempted to refer to the other door, but when we got the truck the button was already missing. I looked at the service Manuel also it was no help.
