1966 Ford Fairlane Repair Question

I recently bought a 1966 Ford Fairlane Convertible, that has the 289 badges, but is actually running a 302. How do I set the points?
302 Engine.
Non-Electronic ignition - has points and condenser.
Stalls when warm and in gear. Runs fine in nuetral or park, just stalls when the tranny is engaged at idle once the engine is warm.

Adjusting the points isn't going to solve that
The idle speed might just be too low.
