1965 Triumph Spitfire Repair Question

Topics covered: Clutch.
Mileage: No information provided.

Asked on November 20, 2011

The clutch slave cylinders rod had something on the end of it and it had threads on both ends, it looks like an extension that somebody added.

My question is: is that normal and why would you add to the rod, would that cause the clutch to engage sooner? And should it be removed?

It's for clutch adjustment. Pedal height and actuation position.
