I have had the radiator checked, it is good. The engine was just rebuilt 3 months ago. However, the vehicle continues to overheat. Should I change the radiator, and if so, what kind should I replace it with. The motor is a 390 with a small cam.

With the vehicle cold. Start the car and leave the radiator cap off. Turn on the heat and let it run till its up to operating temperature. Raise the RPM a few times up to about 2800 and hold for about 5 seconds each time. Keep your eye on the coolant level in the radiator and keep it full. Make sure you have heat coming out of the vents. This is to make sure you have no air in the system. If you are sure all air is out then I would suspect a faulty fan clutch.
