Trying to replace the upper control arm on a 64 impala. The balljoint is not lining up with wheel quite right - any tricks to get it back in?

If you jack up the lower control arm and spring. You can take a pry bar to pry the upper control arm down and the ball joint will go through the spindle enough so you can attach the brake hose and put the nut on. Put a cotter key on the ball joint also.

Jack up the lower control arm and spring. Then use a pry bar to push the upper ball joint through the spindle. Then reattach the brake hose then screw it tight and install a cotter key.
