Recently purchased vehicle, another mechanic upgraded brake system with dual master cylinder (all four corners still drum brakes). After checking the vehicle over, noticed that front cylinder operating rear brakes, and rear cylinder operating front, plus NO proportioning valve. Do both cylinders have equal pressure, and should I install a proportioning valve to adjust for proper percentages?

Thanks in advance,
Bernie

Can't tell you because I dont' know what kind of master it is. Normally proportioning valves are need for disc brake front and drum rear. Masters are different on a disc drum setup as well. So if it seems to work ok leave it alone.
