Hi I noticed that I was losing power when changing gear and booked my car in for a service, was told it would be two weeks before I could get it in. However 2 days after I was driving and my clutch went altogether.

Can you tell me if this right for a 62 plate 15 month car to have to have its clutch replaced, I do not ride my clutch or rev the engine.
My previous car was 10 yrs old with over 100,000 miles and never had a clutch replaced so I, m adamant that this is not due to driver failure, The car also had to have a new exhaust with 10 months.

2. Why have I been quoted £235 plus VAT for the gear box to be removed to get to the clutch. I feel this is a bit steep as it's not the issue nor it's it my design to have the car built this way. I feel this is just a way for ther garage to make money yes the car has 7 yrs warranty.
Thanks in advance

We are in u.S so don't know prices in England. Shouldn't this car still be covered under warranty? I thin u.S it's 100,000 miles. So check with dealer first. I can't find any tsb's on it so it may be a problem that has just arisen and yes it shouldn't eat a clutch up that quickly
