Question:
2004 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive
Automatic 62400 miles. I fixed a wrecked ion... the passenger side front wheel
bows in at the top...I went to get it aligned and they said the tie rod end was
bent on the passenger side.... what does this part look like and how can I fix
it myself.... money's a little tight, that's why I got a wrecked car and fixed
it.... thanks
Answer: Don't
know which is bent, but I'll bet it's the inner! You need an inner tie rod
tool...then you must disconnect, and unscrew the outer, then remove the dust
boot, then unscrew the inner, reverse to install new one...The right one shows
the inner, installed on the rack! Left is the outer..

Question:
2004 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive
Automatic 64,000 miles. I think that a sensor is out the security light flashes
and I cant start the car for a while. then it starts but now it wont start my
mechanic told me that its the security which makes sense but how can I fix the
probably without spending a bundle?
Answer: I would suspect the key or key
reader, (if chip key is used) A diagnostic code read should give you information
of any ECU sensor faults.
Question:
2003 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive
Automatic 60,000 miles. My driver side windshield wiper keeps hitting my driver
side window when using, I saw a part of the wiper fly off my window and then a
few days later when using them it keeps going past the main wind shield and
hitting my drivers side window. Do you think by putting on new wipers this will
resolve the issue or do I have to take it to a shop?Answer:
You can re position the wiper arm, but that may make it
strike the bonnet instead, what is normally the problem is one or more of the
wiper regulator bushes are worn, and this allows the wiper arc to increase,
causing the arm to strike off the screen. You should get your mechanic to
inspect and repaired as needed.
Question:
1999 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive
Manual. I have engine oil in the coolant recovery tank; any ideas on cause;
should I replace the motor.
Answer:
Is the engine running rough? miss
firing? over heating? oil in the coolant will normally be a head gasket problem,
As your sis a manual it will not be a transmission leak via the radiator. Is the
oil very low? I would be doing a bit more investigation before installing
another engine.
