Repair Questions and Answers

Question: I have a 1994
SL600 and it has a very weak injector pulse at the left
bank. Already swapped computers, module, crank sensor
and cam sensor
. Nothing has helped so far. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Answer: 1994 had a uses a 120
engine. Real good strong engine. Not sure what codes you
have but these is a few thing I can think of. First make
sure BOTH crankshaft
sensors are putting out the SAME voltage. If you use a
dual trace scope this is a easy read because you can
take a trace. The cam sensors, they need to work however
they have no direct effect on injector pulse other than
if there is no cam signal the control unit creates one
(lower output). Check engine light on? You also do not
provide the miles this would help. High mile car I would
suggest checking the intake gaskets. Please remember
this, the intake on the left side of the engine feeds
the engine on the right side.
Taking a wild guess here I think you may have something
that is influencing your mixture (example, stuck purge
valve) creating a lean mixture. A read out of the
adaptations would help if you can get them.
