MORE: Hyundai Santa Fe Repair Questions

Question:    2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl four wheel drive Automatic 68000 miles Bought used with 65K on it. Recent problem after completing 60K maintenance (timing belt, 2 other belts, plugs, wires, changed tranny fluid). Ran fine for 1400 mile trip and return home after a few days and suddenly engine is missing at idle. Codes say 1,3 and 5 are the problem. Could it be a bad sensor? Fuel pump? My mechanic who did the maintenance is stumped so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:    Sounds like your timing belt needs to be looked at.

Question (follow up):    Turns out that the timing belt had jumped three teeth for absolutely no reason. My mechanic reset the belt and it appears to be running fine. Thank you guys for all your suggestions.

I find the dimming of the lights to be dangerous at night. The Hyundai dealership says this is normal and it is the way it's made. Is this true? I am taking my vehicle in again as it is under warranty. However, I think they are giving me a runaround.

Answer:    I don`t think that`s normal!! you have an electrical problem.. looks like the battery its not "holding" the charge or its something else drawing the the "juice" of the battery.. better to check it before the warranty expires!
