Repair Questions and Answers

Question:
1997 GMC 1500 4x4 mileage: 132,000. When stomp
on gas it feels as if you are dragging an anchor, ok
with light acceleration. Also, sometimes will
pop in intake. Seems like lean fuel.
Fuel pressure & volume ok. SES light was on.
I replaced one oxygen sensor & light went out, but
problem still there. No trouble code comes up
on scanner.
Answer:
Check the fuel pump amp draw because if it is
starting to fail, the amp draw will be high. More
than likely your mass air flow sensor needs
replaced.
Question: 2001 GMC
1500 4X4, miles 84,000. I noticed a small crack
near the top of my radiator where radiator fluid
has been slowly leaking out for the last two
months. The car has not ever had a problem with
overheating since I have owned it. Is there some
way to seal it or does the radiator need to be
replaced. What can cause a crack to happen and
what is a reasonable price for repair?
Answer: The radiator
needs to be replaced. The tanks do crack due to
stress and vibration. Replace the whole new
radiator to avoid further repairs on the same
radiator.
Question:

Answer:
We are sorry, but due to the large volume of

scan and email diagrams. A Mitchell or Chilton
auto repair manual will have diagrams showing
wiring. Click
