Dodge Morocco Car Repair Questions and Answers
Question: 1991 Dodge Morocco - mileage: 132,000. I have no heat; I just bought a new heater core and new thermostat. The water pump is fine
and there is warm water going through both sides of hoses. I should have heat but I do not. Error codes showing, 03, 08, and 53. Can you tell me what these codes are? Also, have you run in to this problem before? This car has
air conditioning. The doors are opening fine but there is no heat. I
tried bypassing the temperature control valve and still not heat. Thank
you.
Answer: First check the fuses, it they are okay then the heater blower fan is probably malfunctioning.
Question: 1991 Dodge Morocco mileage: 148,000. When I run my air conditioner the carpet on the passenger side in the back seat gets sopping wet. Last week
I noticed the front passenger side carpet is also wet. I mean wet. I feel like it is coming from the air conditioner but how and how do I fix it? Please Help!
Answer: The water is probably coming from the air conditioner, check the air-conditioning box or ductwork that surrounds the evaporator. There should be a drain hole in the bottom for the water to escape to the outside of the car. The drain hole may be plugged or the ductwork cracked or broken.
Question: 1990 Pontiac Morocco mileage: 160,000. Four days ago I had
the rotors turned and the brake pads replaced on the front and rotors replaced on the rear. I noticed a major squeak or chirp in the brakes when I applied the brake the squeal or chirp would go away. Also, when I turned to the left the noise would go away. If I drive straight or turn to the right it is a loud squeal or chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp. I also hear something rubbing at very low speeds. I called the place that did the brake job and they said the new rotors needed to seat themselves and that I should drive it for awhile. I know I am female but I am not stupid, I know when something is wrong with my vehicle. I need some advice please. Thanks!
Answer: As to the intermittent chirping sound, have the brake rotors checked to make sure that they are running true
and that they were machined properly.
