Dodge Magnum Repair Questions
Question : Electrical problem
2006 Dodge Magnum 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 91,000 miles. Headlights
and interior light pulsing. It's losing power around 1500 to 2000rpm.
Alternator is charging around 13.9 to 14.2 what could it be?
Answer: Test the battery and double check the
connections make sure its shiny and tight and also behind the alternator. The
voltage regulator's job is to maintain the alternator's current
output. When it sees the voltage low it will decrease resistance to raise the
voltage and vice versus. If its not internally mounted-then its inside the power
train control module as the field generation driver.
Question:
2006 Dodge Magnum its a 3.5 high
output 20,000 miles. I would
like to upgrade my factory radio to a navigation factory radio. do I need to
change my pcm to be able to do this change?
Answer: It should
bolt right up.
Question: I have
an '05 Magnum. V6, auto, 2wd. Recently, the
speedometer stopped working. I can't find any information as to
whether it is cable operated as with cars in the past, and if so, is that
attached to the transmission? It is still under warranty, but getting it to the shop
and waiting around is less appealing than just fixing it myself, if it can be
done. Thanks!
Answer: If the
trucks under warranty I would have it take in right away, Are
you getting check engine light on? Could have a burnt out speedometer cluster.
