Question: 1983 Chevy Citation mileage: 92,064. The car idles fine but when you go to accelerate it cuts out, loses power. We have replaced the fuel pump and filter. The distributor cap, wires, coil, gas line, module, and the computer board. What else could be causing this problem?
Answer: The problem you describe is probably caused by the carburetor. A carburetor overhaul is the most likely solution.
