My power steering pump all of a sudden is not working. Power steering fluid was forced our of the reservoir. It is difficult to steer at slow speeds. My question, the repair shop cannot fix until new power steering pump arrives in approx. 1 week. Can I still drive the car without damaging the steering system? I'm estimating approx 300 miles in the one week.

I would say the answer is yes. BUT, now the question is would I? no. Why?

My thought is that given the right or wrong situation, the steering lose may be enough to cause you to be in great danger or endanger others.
