I had been having battery problems with my car and just installed a new alternator today. When i tried to start it up, all the dash lights and sounds were fine, but would not start when i turned the key all the way. It doesn't turn over or crank at all. I am assuming it is a starter problem, but when i tried to access it i couldn't even get to it under the engine.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Do you hear a click noise to see if your starter is trying to turn over the engine?

I hope that you disconnected the battery when you replaced the alternator. Now I would check the connections for tightness and make sure they are clean as well. Battery good and fully charged?
