I HAD A A/C PROBLEM THAT WAS FIXED BUT IN THE PROCESS HAD THE EVAPORATOR & VALVE CHANGED,PSI SWITCH,A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND DRYER.THE VENT TEMP STAYS BETWEEN 45-48 DEGREES.WITH ALL THESE ITEMS CHANGED AND THE SYSTEM RECHARGED SHOULD'T IT BE COLDER?
THE CAR IS A 1993 ACURA LEGEND.
I BELIEVE THE TEMP SHOULD BE BETWEEN 38-48.
THE MECHANIC SAYS THE SYSTEM IS RUNNING PROPER AND HE SAYS ITS THE COLDEST HE CAN GET IT.WOULD CHANGING THE CONDESOR HELP?

Is your A/C system a 134a or R12? If its a 134a system, you have to remember that the pressure temperature relationship between the two different refrigerants is quite different. For example, on a 134a system, an evaporator pressure of let's say 35-40# will net you a suction temp of40-45 degrees. While an increase to 50# will get your suction temp to approx.54 degrees.

On the other hand, the old r12 has a much better capacity. The same scenarios: 28-32# nets you a 30-35 degree suction temp. At 40#- 45 degrees.
