My axle snapped and the transmission fluid leaked out. I put a new axle in. I know the transmission fluid is low, but when I start it and give it gas the car doesn't move at ALL! Clutch sounds and feels like it engages fine. Seems to be a little rattlling in the transmission. Would the car not move at ALL simply because of little/no transmission fluid, or has the transmission probably blown a vital bearing or internal part?

I have the fluid to refill the tranny. I just don' t want to fill it if I'm going to have to pull the tranny anyways.

Some advice please!

If all of the fluid drained out, then it may not move at all. You have to try it and see if you can avoid that cost and time of a tranny rebuild.
