Brakes problem
2007 Land Rover Discovery 3 V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 40000 miles
I just had new brake pads put on my Land Rover LR3. The car has 40,000 miles. The old pads had about 2mm left, so I wasn't metal-on-metal going into the shop. I had EBC brake pads put on. Now, when I am not braking, the rear driver's side wheel has a squeeking sound. It's high pitched, rotational, and only happens at low speeds. Any ideas? Thank you. |

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE NOISE YOU ARE HEARING IS COMING FROM THE PARKING BRAKE. LR3S ARE KNOWN FOR THE PARKING BRAKE SHOES GETTING CAKED IN BRAKE DUST AND SQUEAKING. ALSO, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT ONE OF THE CLIPS THAT HOLDS THE BRAKE SHOES IN PLACE HAS BROKEN. THE REAR ROTORS MUST BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO INSPECT THE PARKING BRAKE. |
