Transmission problem
2007 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 38000 miles

Yesterday I began to have shifting problems in all gears. It felt rough and stiff.Today the problem got worse. It seems to be related to the outside temperature which dropped down to 32 deg last night. I had to force the gear shift into reverse to back the car up. After a mile or two the problem went away and the shifting returned to normal. I called the local Ford dealer and he checked the Ford data base and could find nothing on the problem.
