Electrical problem
2006 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
How do I get my saturn to release the key and turn the ignition off, it acts like it is stuck. I removed the ingition wires to shut off the vehicle but the key still will not turn or release
I called the nearest Saturn dealer today (87 miles away) and of cousre they told me they have never heard of this problem and all they could tell me is that I need to bring the car in and have the ignition switch drilled out and replaced. I have done a web search and there are hundreds of people having the same and simular problems with their Saturn cars & SUV's I love the car but it seems that all Saturns seem to have this one thing in common
ALL Saturns have always had key issues. Unfortunatly if oyur is stuck, you may have to have it replaced. But if thekey is in it, they shouldnt have to drill it out, that is only when the key is missing or the ignition wont turn to "on"
Thank you very much, I have posted this problem to the cosumer affairs website in hopes that maybe in the future Saturn owners will not be subject to this problem. You have been very helpful.
