2006 Pontiac G6 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 43000 miles

I was about to leave and pulled out of the drive way and pulled back in! Then I pulled out the drive way and began to drive up the street then the car felt like it was driving funny! so I pulled over and put the car in park! But it wouldn't stay parked! Then i tried to put it in drive but i couldn't give it any gas! then i turn the car off and It would start! And my gear shaft became very easy to move forward and backwards! What do you think the problem is?

From what I can understand of your post, your gear linkage is screwed up.
