Engine Mechanical problem

Hello, I have three questions and any help would be greatly appreciated. The first is everyonce in a while when I go to start my car it wont start, but when I try again and I am pumping the gas pedal, it will start - I have already replaced the fuel pump relay switch. Question 2 - This doesnt happen all of the time either, when im sitting still or going slow when I turn my wheel the car makes a groaning noise - I was thinking something might need greased (also this car has electric steering). Now lastly, alfter the motor has been warmed up - not all the way, when I get in and start it again it wants to make a popping noise, but the noise soon stops - it almost sounds like metal warming back up, hence the popping noise - Isaac
