Engine Cooling problem
2006 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 4000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Angel of my car, I must inform you that I bought an American ordered Hyundai Accent 1.6 DOHC Engine 4 cylender 2 wheel drive Automatic Transmission Car so far millage only 4000 km, when I bought it in September 2007 in winter season, it was working properly but a month ago when the weather starts becoming extremely hot overhere in Balochistan, Pakistan, my starts showing extreme hot engine and the gouge usually goes to the extreme end, showing a very very hot engine while when I feels the engine it isn’t that much hot as the gouge shows, but inspite that I replaced the thermeter gouge sensor, but still the problem continues, then I remove the Thermostate of the car for preventing the hotness, after that the car’s thermometer was showing normaly good engine condition but then few days ago it again starts suddenly going to the extreme end showing an extremely hot engine, That’s why you are kindly requested to guide me what should I do to prevent the car from hottening the engine. What should I repair or what should replace. Best Regards. I am waiting eagerly for your prompt and assisting reply because my car is the bread of my family, if it doesn’t work for a single day, then I won’t be anything for my family to eat and live. Thanks and God Bless YOU ALL.

Hi there,

make sure that the radiator is not blocked easy way to test is to run the engine and feel top and bottom hose, if both feel about the same temp should be OK. make sure the cooling fans are working when the engine is hot,. look at these things first.

I once again checked the said points and they are as follows:

1) The Both Fans are working when the engine reaches 96 degree centigrade. they automatically turns on but engine just come a little bit down and then suddenly goes up again.

2) I have took out the thermostate but I could find in my market that's why I have ordered from Dubai to be sent at the moment my car is without thermostate and still becomming hot.

3) I checked both Radiator Hoses and both of them are hotwhen the engine gouge goes up to the extreme.

thanks for your kind assistance, awaiting for more help. thanks and Best Regards
