Engine Performance problem

my 2005 pontiac grand am recently stalled as i was driving on the interstate. it was a very humid day and i had my a/c on high as well as the stereo going. this is the first time it ever happened and once i restrted it, it is running fine so far. i am confused as to why this happened. i have had the car for almost 3 years and this is the first problem. i keep the oil and maintenance on a regular schedule.
