Engine Performance problem

hi . i have a nissan altima 2005 today i was driving home when i pushed the accelarator the rpm goes to 3000 and then returns back to 2000rpm and to 3000 with thrust,, i don't know what the problem is could you please help me out with this

If its forced downshift that is a normal operation
if not check tranny fluid
if u have check engine light on have it scanned for codes
