Electrical problem
2005 Honda Odyssey 6 cyl 35000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The power locks do not function properly. I am experiencing the following problems:

When the master door lock (drivers button) is pressed, only the rear passenger doors lock.

When the drivers door key is turned to lock all doors, only the drivers door and rear passenger door lock.

When the remote key is pressed, no doors lock. In all events the tailgate will not lock.

Can you provide any help in diagnosing this problem?

Hi John Mandeville,

All the passenger doors are connected in parallel circuit so should be a wiring problem, check the driver door pillar harness for loose or corroded connections.

The tail gate is a separate circuit and the door harness coupler could also be the cause. It might also be the conttrol unit.
