Air Conditioning problem
2005 Acura MDX 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 19,350 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Had car back at dealer 3 times to fix air conditioning problem. 1st time they thought i might be leaking refrigerant and added some. 2nd time found nothing wrong even though I was complaining car was not getting cool enough. 3rd time, air conditioner was only blowing hot air. At this time they replaced the compressor and clutch. Working fine for about 2 days now, finding that car again not getting cool enough, but noticed that it is happening mostly when car is idling in traffic. Once I accelerate, car is starting to get cool again, but not as cool as it should be. I have the temp. turned lower than 60. At that point it should be freezing and it is just comfortable. I also noticed that if I press slightly on the automatic window buttons on the driver side door, the air speed changes slightly.

this is very easy. first clue is that it get cooler when moving. this tells me either the cooling fan is not coming on when ac is on causing no air flow through the condenser and when you start driving the air is now being circulated through it cooling it down. basically there is a mini radiator in front of the engine radiator that the ac uses to make the freon turn from a liquid into a gas, it needs to be cooled in order to accomplish this. if this is not the case, (im confident it is) then the system is low on freon again from a leak, (probably not). do me a favor and repost what you find so we can all learn, thanks for using 2 carpros.
