Brakes problem
2004 Volkswagen GTI 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 90,000 miles
I recently got my rear brake pads replaced from a repair shop. After about 3,000 miles they started to squel when driving at slow speeds and barely pressing the brakes. When I press harder the squelling goes away. When driving at high speeds and pressing the brakes hard to squels. I took it back to the shop to check them out, but they said they look fine. Should I be worried? The squelling is really getting annoying |

Hi there,
This will normally be caused by glazing of the breaks, some pads have a high resign content and this can cause the pads and disc's to glaze up, often a slight re cut of the rotors and a rough up of the pads followed by a good bed in will often fit this annoying problem, cheaper pads are more inclined to squeal as well.
