Transmission problem
2004 Subaru Outback 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

I drive a 2004 subaru outback, auto transmission. For the last month it has been vibrating at low speeds mainly 30-40 Km. Swaped the tires but they werent causing the problem, took it to a mechanic that said it may be the transmission.
What do you think possible causes are and are there any simply do it yourself jobs or tests i can do to narrow it down or fix the problem?
