Noises problem
2004 Other Oldsmobile Models 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 69900 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My sillhouette mini van is making a noise when driving. It starts at around 20 MPH and sounds like the engine revving up or like you are driving on the noisemakers when you go off the shoulder of the road, only not quite as loud. There is a vibration that can be felt some what in the steering wheel and gas pedal. We had the tires balanced and rotated which improved it somewhat. we had all four tires replaced and the noise still persists. We jacked up the front end and put it on jackstands and ran it up to 80 mph and there was no noise. can't find anything rubbing on the tires. it is shifting normal, no jerking or anything when it shifts. sounds like it is coming from the front passenger side. Tried driving in a tight circle with the brake on to check for CV joint problems and did not hear any clicking or noise. Any ideas?
