Transmission problem
2004 Infiniti G35 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 103000 miles

I just learned that the wrong transmission fluid was added to my Infiniti g-35 about 25,000 miles ago. I'm now experiencing transmission slippage when accelerating. do you think the wrong fluid could have been the cause of it? If so, could it be fixed by draining the fluid and replacing with the correct fluid? Would the wrong fluid cause long term damage that is not repairable? Any other guess why my transmission would start slipping after only 100,000 miles? thanks for your help

Those arent the most reliable transmissions to begin with, so 100k isnt as bad as you may think.HAving the entire system flushed with Nissan fluid could help, but no guarantees. The incorrect fluid can cause damage to internal seals, clutch plates, basically any wearing item in the trans could be affected by the wrong fluid. All damage is repairable, you may be looking at a rebuild if it is slipping and has that many miles on it, I would stick with Nissan on this, have seen many trans problems from independent shops with Nissan products
