Transmission problem

the transmission wet dead on me. no hints or anything else. all the sudden I could not change my gear to any one of them ( R D 3 2 1 ). i waited around 15 mins and I was able to drive back the car but for a short distance. then the gear started slipping. I had been told that i might have oil leakage. Some one checked the oil and i had been told that need tp add some oil. Any hints...
