Engine Cooling problem
2004 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 94100 miles
Engine is over heating - according to temp gauge and warning light, but no heat is coming out thru vents. When you stop it quickly returns to normal temps. I suspect Thermostat, and if so can this be changed simply in my own garage - or is the thermostat hard to get to |

pretty simple repair on the 2.0L / 2.4L engines. if its the 2.7L it is more work though... you have to raise vehicle and remove the right front wheel and belt splash shield. then you have to remove the drive belts and lower the alternator. disconnect the A/C clutch and pressure sensor connectors. Remove oil dipstick and tube. Now you have access to thermostat housing and thermostat. |
