Engine Performance problem
2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

My 2004 pt cruiser is not excellerating once it get to 65 mph. It instantly decellerates. It also hesitates when i proceed after comming to a complete stop. I changed the spark plugs and wires. I also changed the fuel pump and the timing belt. My check engine light is on, sometimes it goes off and my car rides excellent. But, when the check engine light come on, I have the excellerartion problem. I'm thinking it could be the oxygen sensor or the cam sensor.

Go to your local Auto parts store ,and get them to put it on the scanner . (it's usually free) They can usually point you in the right direction .
