2004 Chevy Venture Radio/CD Removal or repair

Electrical problem
2004 Chevy Venture 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 88000 miles

My CD player is broken I need to remove it to repair it or replace it. How do I get it out ? How can I remove trim around it ? It seems I also need to remove cup holder (ashtray) but I can't figure that out either.

The cup holder does need to come out. I think the exploded views will help.
