Air Conditioning problem

I bought the Rendezvous used a year ago. I have not had issues with it save one. The vehicle has the automatic climate controls. When I turn it to 'front vents' and turn the fan on its highest setting, the fan makes a lot of noise trying to push the air through the front vents. But I do not have very high air flow actually coming out of the front vents. I have tried closing off all vents, but one, to see if this would increase air output. It does not help. I've brought it into the dealership and they said they would have to tear down the whole IP to diagnose the issue! Help!
