Electrical problem
2004 BMW X5 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 27000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
computer mid, dash cluster, and climate control illumination seem to become brighter and then fade somewhat sporadically

Possibly the dimmer module is fluctuating. If a fault was generated, then a scan of the general module might be the next thing to do.
