Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2004 BMW 330 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 86000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Please help! When I am commuting home from work on the freeway and almost home, after the car is hot, the car starts shaking violently when I accelerate. When I let off the pedal, it stops! I cant feel it in the wheel, just the body. It doesnt happen in neutral when I rev the engine so is this a drivetrain problem? Thanks for your help!

The transmission fluid might be low at the torque converter, however some BMW models this can be hard to check as the fluid is designed to be in the car for the life of the vehicle. Check the manual for further instructions on how to check the transmission fluid. BMW's are very hard to diagnose since much of the car is actuated by numerous electrical solenoids, diodes, transistors and switches; therefore, figuring out which one can be a daunting task. If you have a local import shop or a BMW dealer they would be your best alternative other than the factory manual literature.

This sounds very much as if the drive shaft center support bearing carrier is going to or has failed. This will require inspection of the drive shaft and possible replacement of the center support bearing and/or the entire driveshaft.
