I just recently replaced my battery in my 2004 Acura TL. Once the battery was replaced the car cranked up fine. After about a week the battery is dead and the car will not start. It will not make any noises at all and the interior panels, lights, etc. will not come on.

The car has been sitting for a while. But I don't understand why it will not start even with a brand new battery. Help please!

Hi Lem,

After sitting for 1 week without starting, the battery could have been drained of power.

Check the battery voltage, if it is Zero, get it charged and then check the system for power draining, like a faulty switch resulting in some lights being on while the car is not started, ie if you had not forgotten to switch off the lights or kept the radio on without starting the engine.

Check the alternator charging too.
