Noises problem

When in reverse, the mirrors are supposed to smoothly tilt down. Instead it makes a clickity noise on the way down. Do they just need to be oiled and how do I get to the mechanism to spray it?

The noise means the motor is over running or the gears are worn and there is nothing you can do to lubricate it.
