2004 Acura MDX won't start after sitting "on" for

2004 Acura MDX V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 50000 miles

I used a tire inflator that plugs into the cigarrette lighter and didn't have the car running. It drained the battery and after I jumped it- it seemed fine. Twice now it's died after sitting in the accessories/on position where the car is on but not running for at most 5 minutes. The batter indicator shows green and the car starts fine- as long as I don't leave it in the on position! Is that an alternator issue?

Hi michelleh1221,

Seems the battery is not retaining the charge weel enough. You need to test the charging and battery condition. Could be either one.

I would tend to go for your battery not holding the charge ? i think you will find if you have it drop tested this would be the problem ?? it's time for a new battery i'm afraid
