Computer problem
2003 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

I ran a OBDII report because my service engine light came on. The code it shows is P0135. My fan is not coming on when parked and running. Do I just need to replace this sensor? If so where is that sensor located? Also if I have to replace the sensor what is the part # ?

You have 2 separate issues. The po 135 is an oxygen sensor code, probably a bad sensor. Part # 12559850 from OEM and bosch is 13193. Do not get a universal.

Where is the temperature gauge reading at? Does it overheat?

The car is not running hot when i'm driving down the road; it runs normal around 180 but when I stop and idle it will go up to about 220 but no higher than that. The fan is not kicking on like its supposed to. Thanks for the info about the sensor. Do you know where that sensor is located?

I should have noted the part number I looked up was for the 3.1 motor not 3.8. I wouldn't worry about the part numbers as the parts guy looks it up anyways. Number get superceeded and that number may have been by now.

Either way the o2 sensor is in the exhaust manfold.

The Fan operation sounds right. The low speed fan kicks on at 223 degrees.
