Electrical problem
2003 Other Audi Models V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles
All of a sudden, today, when I turned off the engine and exited the car as usual, the brake/tail lights stayed on and are still on. I have double checked all doors to make sure they are closed, my headlights are off, etc. I have no idea what is going on? Can you help me? Thanks. |

Hello
Thanks for the donation.
It sounds like you have a faulty and/or mis-adjusted brake light switch. The brake light switch is located on the brake pedal. It is the component that sends signals to the computer to illuminate the brake lights whenever the brake has been depressed. If it is not working properly, then the brake lights will either stay on constantly or they will not come on at all. Usually a screw or similar object is used for adjustment of the switch.
Hope this helps..
