Engine Performance problem
2003 Hyundai Sonata 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 68000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Recently while traveling in the mountains, my car stalled on the way up.  The engine lost power and shut off completely with no warning lights or indication that anything was wrong. I shut off the engine and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and it started back up with no problems, however, when I went up the hill again, it stalled again. After the second stall, I decided to turn around and went down the hill and back into town, a 40 mile trip, with no problem. I haven't had any problems since, and have no clue on what could be the problem.

Hi irish2009,

Engine got breathing difficulties due to the height above sea level?

I would suspect the MAP/MAF to be the cause.
