Engine Mechanical problem

my engine has sluge in it I can see it when I take the oil cap off. I changed the oil the other day drove the car and the oil ligt flickered on. The engine started ticking I checked the oil and the levels are fine. When the car warms up the ticking noise goes away. Only thing I think is there is a clog somewhere and the head is not gettting enough oil. Let me know what you think I should do.
